The Perfect Lips

This diagram shows the anatomy of the Perfect Lips, which you can achieve with our special  Lips Enhancement Procedure available at the Stein Medical Institute.

The Perfect Lips

Dr. Stein's lip techniques correct the position of lip appearance.

The balanced lip size:

The ratio of the height of the upper lip to that of the lower one is ideally 1.4:1.6.

1. Outside Corners of Lips

Over time, the fat at the corner of the lips disappears and the depressor angularis oris, the muscle that runs from the corner of the lips to the jawbone, tightens, resulting in the downward look. This process also results in the formation of Marionette lines. Dermal fillers can replace the volume while Botox®, in the depressor angularis oris will relax that muscle.

2. Vermilion Border

This is the lip border that defines the shape of your lips. The vermilion border flattens with age. Dermal fillers can be injected to re-create this roll.

3. Cupid’s Bow

This area in the middle of the upper lip straightens with age as well. Carefully placed dermal filler can restore the youthful look of the cupid's bow.

4. Philtral Columns

These two vertical lines that project upward from the cupid's bow tend to flatten or disappear with age. Dermal filler is placed very superficially in the columns leaving the depressed area above the cupid's bow.

5. Smooth Textures

Soft, line-free lips telegraph youth. a dab of Aquaphor can treat moisture loss, and a hydrating lipstick will camouflage uneven textures there is no product that can compare to the experience and talents of Dr. Stein and his application of Restylane®, Silicone and other safe dermal fillers at the Stein Medical Institute.

6. A Dumbbell-like Lower Lip Contour:

An attractive bottom lip has a subtle symmetric fullness on both sides.  This balance can be lost when lips are plumped.

7. Ptosis

Line here is creating a sad or unhappily appearance on first impressions.
