Restylane^®

Reystylane is an FDA-approved injectable cosmetic dermal filler that has been used to soften wrinkles and facial folds of patients across the world. Restylane can be used anywhere on the face and is most commonly used for wrinkles and the nasolabial folds, or smile lines.  Having a touch-up before the product has fully dissipated may enhance the lasting effect. Restylane is safe and effective. The only problem with Restylane is its short duration, which creates the need to repeat the procedure more often in order to maintain results.

Restylane vs. Perlane^® Filler   
 

Because they are manufactured by the same company, Medicis Aesthetics, Restylane is primarily the same product as Perlane. The main difference is that Restylane contains a smaller concentration of hyaluronic acid. Because of this, Restylane is better suited for more shallow wrinkles or to maintain the results of a previous Perlane treatment. Perlane is usually used for larger folds and to create volume in the cheeks or other areas.
